8 weeks | 2 hrs per week | Team-based + project driven
Week 1 – Entrepreneurial Mindset & Team Survival Challenge
* Content:
* What is an entrepreneur? Traits like resilience, adaptability, curiosity.
* Desert Survival Exercise: Students work in groups, prioritize survival items, and reflect on teamwork/decision-making styles.
* Output: Students recognize different leadership tendencies.
* Homework: Case study on one favorite entrepreneur (their journey, mindset, challenges).
Week 2 – Leadership, Team Dynamics & Problem–Solution Ideation
* Content:
* Roles in a startup team (Visionary, Builder, Hustler).
* Leadership and collaboration dynamics.
* Creative ideation frameworks (SCAMPER, mind mapping, “How Might We” questions).
* Activities:
* Team formation (3–4 students per team).
* Each member claims/tries out a role (can rotate later).
* Homework: Teams brainstorm problems worth solving and form up with a business idea they will work on for the rest of the program.
Week 3 – Unique Value Proposition & Customer Discovery
* Teams present their business ideas with clear problem statement + proposed solution.
* Lecture on UVP and Customer Discovery.
* Refine problem statement + value proposition, asking better questions, avoiding assumptions.
* Homework: Refine UVP. Design and conduct 10+ customer discovery interviews as a team.
Week 4 – MVP (Minimum Viable Product)
* Teams present interview highlights (insights, surprises, user quotes).
* Lecture on what MVP means (examples: sketches, mockups, landing pages, role-play).
* Homework: Teams design and present a low-fidelity MVP.
Week 5 – Business Model Canvas (BMC)
* Teams present their MVPs.
* Lecture on 9 BMC blocks, simplified.
* Teams draft their mini BMC.
* Present & peer review 2–3 key blocks.
* Homework: Refine full BMC for next class.
Week 6 – Go-to-Market (GTM), Marketing & Storytelling
* Teams present their BMCs
* Lecture on what is a GTM strategy? Early adopters, distribution, channels.
* Basics of branding and storytelling in pitches.
* Teams refine their elevator pitch.
* Homework: Finalize GTM strategy + polish elevator pitch.
Week 7 – Finance & Fundraising + Pitch Deck Draft
* Teams present 30-sec elevator pitches and GTM Strategy
* Lecture on Startup finance basics: costs, revenue, break-even.
* Funding paths: bootstrapping, crowdfunding, investors.
* Pitch deck essentials (Problem, Solution, Market, Model, Traction, Ask).
* Homework: Build a simple financial projection + draft full pitch deck.
Week 8 – “Shark Tank” Pitch Day
* Teams deliver a 10- minute pitch (slides + MVP demo).
* Panel of teachers, mentors, or entrepreneurs provides feedback.
* Recognition: Certificates of completion + Awards (Most Innovative, Best Storytelling, Strongest Teamwork).
* Group reflection: “What did I learn about myself as an entrepreneur?”
